Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Pipelines are very useful tools. They help to concentrate on specific task without digging into implementation details. However, from design and security perspective these things are like Frankenstein.

DICOM is the main component of  Medical Imaging AI applications which is now gaining popularity. DICOM (Digital Imaging and communication in Medicine) is a data format and a protocol for exchanging between various components, such as PACS, DICOM Viewer, Machine Learning framework.

Orthanc is a Belgian, open-source, lightweight DICOM server for healthcare and medical research.

Dicom Toolkit DCMTK provides tools for working with DICOM files.
